Our university laboratory recommends that these tick remover hooks be used to remove ticks as shown in this diagram. NOT by twisting or jerking the ticks. Twisting ticks can cause the mouthparts to detach in the wound. which can increase risk of tick-borne infection such as Lyme disease.
